Doing realist #artwork could be fun, but I find doing imagination-based stuff much more interesting. This #painting (sold) was based on a photo of Caucasian #mountains some friends gave me.

Doing art from imagination feels more personal. It is like writing about own experiences. The question is, could there be too much personal stuff? “How To” book or an ancient history book could be almost not personal. But what about a journal, an autobiography, a personal blog, an impressionist or expressionist art? We only can see world through our own eyes. And most often people on the other end do want to read or see a slice of someone’s soul in an artwork. That’s what they came for.

Incidentally, how can one write about one’s life without getting into trouble with people around them? Everyone sees events differently and there will be misunderstandings and offences, however respectful or careful the writer is. How do they manage?

Reading personal stuff is very reassuring: They lived as they wanted, without conformity, and were happy, that was their victory. But, beware, if you know the history, the biographies/diaries are prone to spoilers.
